  •  If your dog's teeth aren't cared for, the result could cause periodontal disease which is the most common dental condition affecting dogs. (Periodontal disease is the inflammation and infection of the gums and supporting tissues of the teeth.)
  • The American Veterinary Dental Society states more than 70 percent of dogs over the age of three, will develop gum or periodontal disease. Being more common inthe smaller Toy Breeds.

To be sure that your dogs teeth are in good condition ask your veterinarian to check them when you bring them in for a routine exam. Your veterinarian may suggest your dog has a routine periodontal treatment.
